Legal

Terms.

Plain terms for a private membership association.

Nature of membership

Membership is held under a private membership association framework. Members agree to a common standard of practice and to keeping their own records properly.

What this is not

  • Not legal, tax, or financial advice. All content is educational.
  • No attorney-client, accountant-client, or fiduciary relationship is created.
  • Advisor introductions are referrals through the BTPMA framework, not co-counsel. The association does not appear for you and does not supervise the engagement.
  • Membership confers no legal status, immunity, standing, or tax position.
  • Membership dues are not represented as tax-deductible charitable donations.

Dues and term

Operator and Architect are billed monthly and may be ended at the close of any billing period. Steward is by invitation and is governed by its own written engagement terms, which include a deposit and a promissory note paid in weekly installments.

Your records

Charters, ledgers, and records you create remain yours, including after membership ends.

Changes

Material changes to these terms are communicated to members in writing before taking effect.
